NFTs for Kids: Metaverse for Education Newsletter Issue #12

ed3metaverse.substack.com

Hello Educators & Friends!

Thanks for all the great feedback on our last issue about the Psychology of Avatars! Seems it was a fan favorite đŸ€©.

Although there is a lot out there on what web3 is generally, there is still a deficit of information about how web3 is impacting individuals beyond fiscal gains. If this newsletter has helped you contextualize web3 for education, please share the love and pass it along to other educators in your life!

This week’s issue is about NFTs for kids! As an educator or parent, it’s quite confusing and exhausting trying to figure out how to introduce these concepts to students, or if you even should.

Below, you’ll find some examples of how educators are using NFTs in their classrooms, how you might explain NFTs to kids, and how to create NFTs with kids.

But before you dive in, skip around this video of kids reacting to NFTs for a quick giggle 😃

If you’d like a refresher on what NFTs are, check out our Intro to NFTs issue.

And if you're interested in joining a community of educators who are interested in web3, Ed3 DAO (the first DAO for educators, by educators) is holding their first Open House on Wednesday, May 4, at 8p ET. Put it on your calendar.

Hope to see you there.

Warmly yours,

Vriti & the k20 Educators team
